A variation inspired by Steve’s Sofa snack tables.
Used simple pocket hole joinery with the uprights inset from the edge.
Used 17mm Fijian Cedar Plywood.
Coated with 2 coats of polyurethane sprayed on with compressor driven spray gun. Does anyone know the ideal mix of poly & thinner (water) for spraying? I tried to thin with a small amount of water but the finish was not glossy like i expected. Hard to describe the texture but the poly seemed to be drying in the air before contact which left a crazed feel to the surface. It does provide for a unique finish offering a non-slip surface which is not unpleasant to the touch.
