For a long time I’ve been wanting to establish some method of raising funds by rallying the power of the Maker Community. Back in June I met with my friend Ava Kelly, who has a lot of experience in fundraising and non-profits and we talked about various ways to create something powerful.
The result is Makers Care, a fundraising organization of Makers, YouTubers, and Artists dedicated to making a positive difference in the world. To launch Makers Care, we are holding a campaign to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, who you already know I am passionate about.
Everyone can participate!
To participate, all you need to do is make an airplane of any kind using any materials you wish. Post a picture of your creation on the Makers Care web site. I’ll be donating $5 for every submission (up to $2000) and I’ve also got Microjig on board to match those donations!
Please visit MakersCare.org for lots more information and spread the word!
